Based on my time in the Marines, I wanted to create a design that remembered the close Marines who were lost in our deployment to Iraq as well as the servicemember’s we constantly lose to PTSD and other unseen challenges.

Primarily driving the design is a Morse Code motif. The chest features a code-block representation of the U.S. Flag while the star field is replaced with marks for the lives lost in my unit.

Below, faded to be just noticeable enough when viewed up close, is an SOS in Morse Code. This aims to portray the call for help that servicemembers may want to make but keep to themselves.
